Middle School Band
Welcome to the Colby Middle School Band Page. Here you will find important announcements, links, recordings, and other useful information. My goal is to use this site as an extension of the classroom and use it to enhance what is taking place on a daily basis. Technology is taking over, so we might as well embrace it!
What is the Middle School Band?
The Middle School Band is comprised of 7th and 8th grade students. Here at Colby MS, you have a couple of options when continuing your instrumental education. You can choose to be in band every day if you do not want to take choir. If you want to take choir, you can alternate between the two classes every other day. Which ever option you choose, you will also get a 30 minute lesson once a week, individually or in a small group.
You will have a variety of performances throughout the year including the Christmas Concert, Solo and Ensemble, Large Group Contest, Spring Concert, among others.
We work very hard, but we have even more fun!

We are going to use GC (Google Classroom) as an extension of what we do on a daily basis in class. This is where you will submit playing tests and homework assignments, participate in class discussions, among other things. We will slowly be introducing this over the first couple of weeks of school to make sure everybody understands how it works. I will be sending everyone an invite to the class, but the code is listed below if you would like to join it now.
