High School Band

Welcome to the Colby High School Band Page. Here you will find important announcements, links, recordings, and other useful information. My goal is to use this site as an extension of the classroom and use it to enhance what is taking place on a daily basis. Technology is taking over, so we might as well embrace it!

What is High School Band?

The Colby High School Band is made up of students in 9th through 12th grade. We meet during 3rd period every day. This group is the top ensemble in the district, and expectations are high. Students in this ensemble also make up the jazz band and pep band and perform at various events and concerts throughout the year.

The Band takes a trip every other year. Our next trip is scheduled for the Spring of 2022. In the past, the band has traveled to Atlanta Georgia and Nashville Tennessee.

This group works hard to make great music, and we have loads of fun while doing it!

Remind App

If you have not signed up for the remind app, here is the information to do so.

This is a great way to communicate!

Text @bandchs3 to 81010 and you will be signed up.

This app allows me to send out short messages with reminders and other important information.

Click on the instruction sheet on the right to enlarge it.

Google Classroom

We are going to use GC (Google Classroom) as an extension of what we do on a daily basis in class. This is where you will submit playing tests and homework assignments, participate in class discussions, among other things. We will slowly be introducing this over the first couple of weeks of school to make sure everybody understands how it works. I will be sending everyone an invite to the class, but the code is listed below if you would like to join it now.
