Program Eligibility:
To qualify for the TRiO/SSS program, a student must be a citizen or a legal permanent resident of the United States, demonstrate an academic need for services as defined by the institution AND meet at least one of the following criteria:
First-generation college student: An individual whose parents have not completed a B.A./B.S. degree
Must have the drive and desire to succeed in high school and college
Academic: Student must be enrolled in or completed at least ENGL 251 and have a 2.5 gpa or better
Low Income: Household taxable income meets the TRiO federal guidelines established by the US. Department of Education
