Learn how to access your MagicSchool account. To see the difference between a free, plus, and enterprise account, click here.
Learn how to effectively navigate the MagicSchool platform to discover the perfect tools for teachers. During this tutorial, I'll show you how to search for tools using keywords, leverage recommended tools based on your user profile settings, apply category filters for specific tasks, and receive tailored recommendations based on grade and task requirements. Additionally, I'll highlight the feature of favoriting tools for quick and easy access in the future.
Most, but not all, MagicSchool tools have an Exemplar button that provides a quick way to see how to use the tool by displaying a high-quality input example and the resuling output.
This video introduces Raina, MagicSchool's chatbot. Raina is useful for times when there doesn't seem to find a tool that fits what you are looking to do. Raina can be used as a standalone chatbot and is also embedded withing each MagicSchool tool.
Using the Lesson Plan tool, you'll see how to apply the prompting approach we just learned in the previous video.
The "Prompt Assistance" feature in a MagicSchool tool is designed to assist educators in generating effective prompts or questions that can guide their usage of the tool. It provides suggestions or examples to help users formulate their inquiries or requests, making it easier to achieve their desired outcomes.
When you input a prompt and click Generate, what is produced by MagicSchool is referred to as a generation or ouput. Once your ouput is generated you can use the Actions button to make modifications such as translating the output, creating a question set based on the output, shortening or lengthening the output, summarizing the output, or applying a custom prompt. Note: Most of these actions with the exception of Translate are not available with free accounts.
Output History provides a record of past outputs or responses generated by a MagicSchool tool. In the Output History section users can find a history of tool generations, shared generations, and outputs saved to Resources. This helps users to review previous work, reuse resources, or monitor their activity on the platform.
