September 30 - September Claim. SNAP & Medicaid reporting needs to be submitted. For Nutrikids districts, the CNYRIC team will be creating a database backup after 3 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30th.
October 1 - Verification Day
October 7 - Beds Day (Please make sure a Direct Certification (DC) is completed in your food service software prior to this date.
November 15 - Verification MUST be complete by this date! NYSED Child Nutrition 2026-2027 School Year Income Verification Procedures (HTML). Note: If the verification deadline falls on a weekend, the requirement moves to the next business day.
December 15 - Verification Collection Report (FNS 742, "attachment G") must be filed online. Direct link to FNS 742.
April 1, 2027 - Date used for ISP changes for CEP. Report all Student Eligibility as of 4/1.

Using data about your systems and our procedures, several web-based dashboards have been developed to ensure we have everything we need in one place.
New District Portal Solution. We've also made improvements to the dashboards we provide to you! News (regional, product-specific, district-specific), operational conditions, new purchase quotes, current services and costs, historical financial details, and links to your software dashboard (Mosaic) and our remote support (BeyondTrust) are all in one place for you!

Serving Data Fresh Daily — Understanding student information in food service software.
Mosaic conversion scheduling has begun for this academic year with the first district beginning in November. If you are interested but haven't let us know, we might be able to get you scheduled in this academic year — Reach out to us! An overview video of the Mosaic solution is available for viewing.
Back of House (BOH) solutions from Heartland are available through the CNYRIC. Support of these solutions is provided by Heartland; CNYRIC handles your annual licensing and purchasing arrangements.

Run the Status Compare report before 10/1 to ensure that the status of each student matches the application status. This report lists students who have a discrepancy between the student maintenance status to the student application status. Any discrepancies listed on the report should be resolved before proceeding with verification. If all students match the report will be blank. Check this report occasionally for any discrepancies throughout the year.
Run the MEC if you need to backdate any meal eligibilities to the matching application eligibility status. The complexity of this task requires significant time to fully complete the work, so please be aware that you will not see any results until the next day!

As you begin the process, make sure that you PRINT AND/OR SAVE copies of:
