There are two methods for extending a Direct Certification status; using a Categorical Eligibility Extension Utility and sometimes there is a need to do a manual extension for a student.
Both methods can be used to search for potential household categorical eligibility extension candidates based on a received application, parent letter, or direct certification process. This process allows you to review potential matching recipients to confirm their eligibility by comparing their demographic information.

This utility should be used after conducting every Direct Certification process to review possible match extensions to others in a household. Before adding any student to a direct certified record using this utility, verify the student is valid to have the extension. This utility uses addresses to match possible extensions.
A grid will display all potential applications to review, at the top of the screen. The possible household match recipients are displayed at the bottom which then need to be verified as potential household matches.
Select the Results Tab to review the Categorical Eligibility Extension Results.

The Eligibility Record Student Listing Report can be filtered to show the results of the student eligibility record that was updated.
