Carolinas Rehabilitation offers shadowing/observation hours with various disciplines such as physical therapy, occupational therapy and nursing to high school and collegiate students. We can provide a maximum of 16 hours of shadow time.

As a Student Leader, you will:
Work as a paid intern at a local nonprofit for eight weeks
Attend the weeklong Student Leaders Summit in Washington, D.C.*
Develop leadership and career skills
Connect with like-minded students from your own community and across the country
In-person events will be in line with local and national guidelines around gatherings and travel and may be subject to change.
• Current juniors or seniors in high school • Legally authorized to work in the Unites States without sponsorship through the end of September, 2021 • Be able to participate in an 8‐week paid internship at a local nonprofit/charitable organization and work 35 hours a week • Be able to participate in a week‐long Student Leadership Summit in Washington, DC (July 12 - 17, 2021) (All expenses paid as part of Student Leaders. This week will be part of your 8‐ week experience.) • Be a student in good standing at your school

Year Up Charlotte is currently admitting students and is located on the campus of Central Piedmont Community College. Year Up offers an intensive, one-year program for young adults, ages 18-24, combining professional coaching, hands-on skill development, and internships at some of America’s top companies. As college students, our young adults have access to the library, tutoring resources, and other services offered by the college, in addition to the services offered by Year Up. As students work toward completing a degree at Central Piedmont Community College. Year Up provides them with coaching, and skill development in track specialties such as Helpdesk/Desktop Support and Customer Service, preparing 40 graduates to launch a meaningful career in a year.
