Applications for the 2024-25 Ronald McDonald House Teen Volunteer Board is now live!

The Teen Volunteer Board (TVB) is a leadership team of 20-25 rising juniors and seniors who serve as ambassadors of our mission in their school and communities from September through April. TVB members volunteer at the House and in the community, participate in meetings, work on leadership and group projects, organize festivals and fundraisers, and become engaged, contributing citizens of the communities they live in.

 

The application deadline is May 26, 2024.

Indian Trail

Health Sciences



 Carolinas Rehabilitation offers enriching adult and teen (15 years and older) volunteer opportunities. We have four adult inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and 15 outpatient clinics throughout Charlotte and the surrounding areas. We hope that through our volunteer program, students will discover that their skills, enthusiasm, and experience make a difference in our ability to deliver quality healthcare. This is a great opportunity to make a difference in the community and gain a better understanding of the roles within healthcare.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

·      The Summer Program is 9 weeks long and will begin around the week of June 22 and end around August 21

·      Available days to volunteer are Monday through Friday.  There is no weekend volunteering.

·      Shifts are 3 hours long (one assigned day/week).  Shift times are 8:30-11:30 or 12:30-3:30.

·      Students are allowed no more than 2 absences, although we hope they will not be absent at all.   Dependability is essential in volunteers.

- Preparing camp materials (perfect for students who are detailed oriented and enjoy working as part of a team)

Ronald McDonald House-Charlotte

The Teen Volunteer Board (TVB) is a leadership group of students who serve as ambassadors of the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte in their school and community. They participate in monthly meetings from September to April. Additionally, they also lead volunteer activities with other teens, complete a fundraising project, and host two of the most anticipated events of the year (Winter Fest and Family Reunion). We are looking for students that are determined, collaborative, and willing to push the mission of the house forward. Our goals for the 2021-2022 season are to; explore new opportunities to reach our community, raise funds with the mission in mind, create meaningful connections with membership, embrace personal development opportunities, and most importantly serve our families. 

 

We are currently accepting applications for our 2021-2022 season until Monday, May 17th by 8:00PM. No late or incomplete applications will be considered. No deadline extensions will be offered. This includes full completion of recommendations, submission of headshot, as well as Parts: 1, 2, and 3 of application. 

The TVB will meet on the second Tuesday of each month from 4:30-6pm from September through April with the exception of trainings, holidays, winter/spring breaks and House conflicts.
