There are many traditions that we celebrate. The births. There are them as small as those that only include the Holy Family at the moment that recreates the birth of the Lord Jesus.
Catracha gastronomy. The "cumbos". Gunpowder burning. The inns. Visit to the church.
For Christmas we do the burning of gunpowder and on the 24th and 31st they make tamales.
We celebrate in January the day of Guancascos.
In February the day of the virgin of suyapa and the day of love and friendship.
In March, the day of Saint Joseph and Saint Gabriel.
In April Easter.
In May, the Isidra de la Ceiba fair.
In June, the Jet Festival in Intibucá.
In July civic cultural festival in honor of Lempira.
In August August Fair.
In September Independence homeland.
In October the fish festival.
In November Tzikin ceremony
In December Paseo Real de las Chimeneas giant, Christmas, the birth of the child Jesus and my birthday.
Our typical traditional food is baleadas and chuco chicken.
Our traditional music is the tip and we have the Garifuna forming part of our Beautiful Honduras and it is they who put the catracha music on fire.
