What does being a Changemaker Mean?
A changemaker is someone who takes creative action to solve a social problem.
Who Can Be a Changemaker? Anyone can be a changemaker. Maybe a changemaker in your students’ life is a parent or grandparent, aunt, or uncle. They could be a neighbor or classmate that has made a difference. Their changemaker may be a teacher, community organizer, doctor, librarian, or friend that rises up to help. A changemaker could be someone a student admires but haven’t met. It might even be you! Essentially what happens is student's create these Awards for people they consider "changemakers" this can be a 2D or 3D award. Q
EACH one that is created Jeff Bezos donates $5 to organizations that support young changemakers working across the globe.
Art can be:
• Awards can be paper certificates that you draw, collage, or design on the computer
• Awards can be trophies you construct out of recycled materials, like aluminum cans and old toys
• Awards can be ribbons and medals you create out of felt, jar lids, bottle caps, paper, or fabric
• And, awards can be anything else your creativity, ideas, and skills help you make
