MYP Service
All MYP students are asked to complete three, or more, MEANINGFUL service activities per year.
These three or more meaningful activities need to reach/achieve each of the seven MYP outcomes in the course of the completion (not all seven in one activity, but each one at least once).

become more aware of their own strengths and areas for growth
undertake challenges that develop new skills
discuss, evaluate and plan student-initiated activities
persevere in action
work collaboratively with others
develop international-mindedness through global engagement, multilingualism and intercultural understanding
consider the ethical implications of their actions.
Some students find the idea of "meaningful" activities too unclear, so we provide an hour based alternative.
In grade 9, three or more activities should total a minimum 35 hours of service.
In grade 10, three or more activities should total a minimum of 40 hours of service.
