It is important to set up kids for success. This includes having an appropriate setup that promotes good posture, support and engagement in learning. Please consider the following guidelines and suggestions when setting up your child's work station at home.
Choose a desk/table and chair that is an appropriate size.
90/90/90 Rule: hips, knees, ankles and elbow should be 90 degrees.
Elbows should rest on the surface.
Feet should rest firmly on the floor.
The desk/table should be 1-2 inches from the stomach.
Use a notebook binder to provide a slanted surface to display materials, papers.
Use books, boxes, Tupperware to rise the floor to your child's feet for optimal support.
