• Description - This course is specifically for Middle School and High School Exceptional Children teachers that will be new to implementing Vmath programming this year. The course will provide participants with a review of key components of the program and modules, assessments that are included, and a review of program materials. Teachers will have access to school level coaching and support sessions following the PD.

• Description - A comprehensive math program that is designed to be implemented in a resource setting. It spans grade levels 6-8 covering one level per year culminating with year 3. Each year builds upon the next so students are ready for Math I in HS after the completion of level 3.

• Description - The Word Mapping Strategy helps older (grades 4-12) students learn how to predict the meaning of unknown words in any content area. Students learn to use four strategic steps to identify prefixes, suffixes, and roots and practice predicting the meaning of words using those parts.

• Audience - ECGC Middle School Teachers that are new implementers of Language!Live

• Description - Comprehensive program with two parts. Online word training (technology) strengthens foundational literacy skills in items such as (morphology, Greek and Latin roots and encoding/ decoding.) Teacher-lead text training guides students in relevant text, by exploring close reading strategies in academic context, increasing content knowledge and writing for effective expression. There are continual follow-up coaching sessions to ensure fidelity in program implementation.

• Description - This session will provide participants a way to address some of the roadblock challenges they may experience in middle school co-taught classroom. They will look at High Leverage Practices (HLP) and how an EC teacher can be intentional on using them in co-taught classes. An example from both math and ELA will be shared.
