AVID Building Capacity

Audience - AVID Coordinators
Description - Train AVID Coordinators to facilitate AVID professional learning sessions at their school site. Participants will learn to use the AVID Professional Learning Modules (APLMs) in a manner that models AVID Professional Learning Practices (APLPs) and is consistent with AVID’s quality expectations. Participants will explore the characteristics of adult learners and the fundamentals of the APLPs, and how the framework serves to create engaging, effective professional learning experiences.

Audience - AVID Elective Teachers
Description - Train AVID Elective teachers for their grade level-specific courses, how to access course materials, and model the AVID Tutorial process. AVID Elective Standards support district goals for getting students into more advanced coursework.
