Career & College Promise (“CCP”) is North Carolina’s dual enrollment program for high school students. This program allows eligible NC high school students to enroll in college classes at North Carolina community colleges for FREE while remaining enrolled at their high school. Students who successfully complete college courses can earn college credit that can transfer to other post-secondary institutions after graduation from high school. The purpose of Career and College Promise is to offer structured opportunities for qualified high school students to dual enroll in community college courses at CPCC that provide pathways that lead to transferring, a certificate, diploma, or degree as well as provide entry-level jobs skills.
Please read all information in its entirety, yes, it's a lot of information, but you must be informed on what you are signing up for when taking Dual Enrollment classes. You are taking College courses, please follow all instructions received from your online instructors at Central Piedmont Community College. This will keep you from being dropped from classes or receiving a low grade. I am here to help you, but keeping the lines of communication open is key to your success in this program.
Signing up as a High School student is huge because you can earn college credit, but just know what comes with this task. You have to communicate, engage in class, complete weekly assignments or test and stay current on your grades. There are also Quarterly checks that I send to you that are important to fill out.
I am NOT RESPONSIBLE for communicating with your professors, or parents in regard to your work or grades.
