Naviance is a website that helps you plan for college and your future career. Here's how it can help you:
Figure out your strengths: Take quizzes to learn what you're good at and what you like.
Find the right college: Search for colleges that match what you want to study.
Get your applications ready: Keep track of your recommendation letters and transcripts and easily send them to colleges.
Explore different careers: Learn about jobs, build your resume, and find work experience.
Connect with colleges: Meet with college advisors and learn about different schools.
Get help from your counselor: Your counselor can use Naviance to see how you're doing and talk to you and your family about your plans.
From your High School’s website or the CMS District Website (www.wearecms.com), complete the following steps to log into your Naviance account:
Click on the “Students” tab at the top of the screen
Click on “Student Portal”
Click on the Naviance" icon at the bottom of the page
Login using your NCEdCloud Username and Password
Parents can access Naviance in 2 ways:
Through their student's account
Request a separate access code through your child's counselor.
Please NOTE: Parent Access is VIEW-ONLY. You will not be able to alter your student's information.

The O*NET Interest Profiler (IP) is a family of self-assessment career exploration tools that can help clients discover the type of work activities and occupations that they would like and find exciting. Clients identify and learn about broad interest areas most relevant to themselves. They can use their interest results to explore the world of work.

Request letters of recommendation from teachers
Monitor and update the status of applications, including:
Method of application (common app or direct to institution)
Deadlines
Letters of recommendation requested and submitted

Research and link to scholarship applications
Indicate where the final transcript should be sent
Access unweighted GPA, weighted GPA, and class rank
Periodically update résumé
