Hi! This is my 11th year as a counselor and my 6th year at AKHS. I absolutely love being a school counselor and being an advocate and a resource for students and families. I received my undergraduate degree from Appalachian State University and my graduate degree from UNC Greensboro. 

I am a native Charlottean and a lover of all things local! In my free time I like to spend time with my son Javi and daughter Sofia, my two cats, and my husband. We love to hang outdoors and watch the Carolina Panthers!

My advice to high school students is find something you love and stick with it--commitment builds passion and character! 

I look forward to working with all my students and families this year!
