Chasity Brooks -Kot-Mel

This is my 7th year as a school counselor and my 4th year at AKHS.  I love helping students reach their full potential and working toward their future.  I received my undergraduate degree in psychology from King University and my Masters in school counseling from Lincoln Memorial University.   

I am from Knoxville, TN and have lived in the Charlotte area for four years.  In my free time I love spending time with my family.  I enjoy attending football and basketball games, traveling to the beach, and exploring the city of Charlotte.

My advice for students: Never let comparison steal your joy! Focus less on what others are doing and work hard to be the best "you" you can be.
