All Aboard the Ja Morant Hype Train!

Ja Morant is one of the most exciting rookies to come through the NBA in years. During his rookie campaign he is averaging 18 ppg, 3.5 rpg, and 6.9 apg. He also made the Memphis Grizzlies a playoff contender while showing his leadership skills and maturity on the court. Morant delivered a statement game against the Houston Rockets, dishing out 25 pts and 8 assists on 90% shooting.

Currently in the conversation for Rookie of the Year, Ja Morant is competing with fellow rookie Zion Williamson. In my opinion, Morant will rise up to be a Hall of Famer and one of the most respected players around. If he continues at this extraordinary pace, the phenom point guard will inevitably be mentioned in the same breath as other greats to play the position, including Steph Curry, Magic Johnson, and Oscar Robertson. Only time will tell, but the second overall pick in the 2019 draft is off to a great start.
