You may have heard of Summer Walker and her latest album, Over It. This album was released on October 4, 2019 and generated the singles Playing Games and Girls Need Love. This record is woking up the R&B genre by featuring artists such as Bryson Tiller, Usher, 6Black, Drake, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and Jhene Aiko.
The 18 songs on the album are so cogent that they have fans going from wanting to “not be in a relationship forever” to “wanting to go back to their ex” to not “wanting relationships again,” all while crying in their bed, looking at the ceiling just to get back with their exes.
As I have heard from many fans, the Over It album is so relatable. Each song on the album brings a different mood and the change in emotion is so deliberate that it gives listeners time to get themselves together between each song. Many people have said that “I’ll Kill You” is their favorite song on the track. Over It is not just an album, it is a beautiful composition about the ups and downs of life and relationships.
