Our Mission:
It is to inspire a love of mathematics by creating a supportive community where students explore problem-solving, develop critical-thinking skills, and engage in collaborative learning.
A math team is a group of students who come together to explore mathematics beyond the regular classroom. Members practice challenging problems, learn new problem-solving strategies, and prepare for math competitions. The team often works on topics such as logic puzzles, algebra, geometry, number theory, and probability.
Math team meetings usually include group problem-solving, practicing past contest questions, and learning tricks or shortcuts to solve problems efficiently. Students may compete in events like math leagues, regional tournaments, or national competitions, either individually or as a team.
Being on the math team helps students build critical-thinking skills, improve their confidence, and enjoy math in a fun, supportive environment. Many teams also participate in community events, tutor younger students, or host school-wide math challenges.
