Credit Recovery is a course‐specific, skill‐based extended learning opportunity for students who have previously been unsuccessful in mastering content or skills required to receive course credit or earn promotion. This is an online program offered to students as an opportunity for them to regain failed required credits. The original failing grade will be listed on the transcript, but will not be included in the calculation of the final GPA. Students who successfully complete the credit recovery course will receive a grade no greater than a 60 D. Below is a representation of the TN uniform grading scale including GPA points for grades earned in previous school years and the 22-23 school year and beyond. As shown below a student that failed a course with a 69 and below prior to the 22-23 school year would receive 0 GPA points. If a student completes credit recovery in the 22-23 school year and beyond, they will receive a 60 with 1 GPA point.
