Songs on the Big Screen

"songs on the big screen" is one of our favorite activities. We do this every Friday.

When we do this at school, we project this screen (below) up on our white board. Every student gets a turn to pick a song. They use a pointer to pick the song they want, and then say, "I want (name of song)". It is very important that if your child is able to say "I want _____.", that they say this. To prompt them, we say "Start with 'I'". If your child is unable to say this whole sentence, work on what they can say. If they can say just one or two words, have them say that word "Color song". If they are not saying words yet, have them point to the song that they want, and you say the words for them!
