Scene co-director - Josie

Hi, my name is Josie. I’m 10 years old and I am the co-director of our scene. I am also an understudy of Virlda the brushtail possum. My favourite part of the production was helping out and seeing the show come to life.

Scene co-director - Aaliya 

Hey my name is Aaliya . I’m 9 years old and I am the co-director of our scene. I’m also an understudy for Evan and I hold the map of Australia with Luke and Monty. My favourite thing about production is meeting all the people that has helped us with everything. 

Jessie played by Inca

Hi, I am Inca, I am 10 years old and I play the character Jessie. In the production I am bossy and love soccer. I love the production because we all get together and work together as a class and we get to show everyone what we all have been doing in the past term. I have also loved acting and drama for years. It’s  been such an amazing experience and I have loved it all the way.

Hi,  I am Ivy and I am 10. I play Morgan in the play. The things I love about my character is that they are so fun to play. I love being able to hang out with my friends and work on it with them. When we are all practising, I love seeing how everyone plays their character and how they act.

G’day! I’m Frederic. I’m 10 years old and I play Evan. I like getting out of my suitcase and saying: “Ugh, that was a very bumpy ride!” and taking the undies off my head, and holding them up to people’s noses.

Charlie played by Rosie R

Hi, I’m Rosie R. I’m 10 years old, and I play Charlie in the production. My favourite thing that we have done in the production is meeting Anna and Tara, who helped us with choreography for the songs, and spacing for background and foreground.

Sam played by Isobel

Hi, I’m Isobel. I am 10 years old. I play the AFL lover character of Sam. I have loved working on the production with my friends. When I first heard I got the character Sam, I wondered why I got that character because I do not like footy. But after time I realised that I was meant to be Sam.

Hello! I’m Amelie. I am 10 years old and I play Alex in our scene. I love being Alex because of their exaggeration in the questions. I also love how the production is funny and I love the faces that we make when we are confused or surprised. 

Virlda played by Ivy J

G’day! I’m Ivy, I am ten years old. I play Virlda in the production. I love being Virlda because I liked learning the Aboriginal words, even though it was really hard! I also liked how it was a bit funny in some parts of our scene.

Hi! I am Muna, I am ten years old. I am a kangaroo in the school play. What I like about the school play is the the song. I love the song. It’s really good.

Hi! I’m Henry. I’m 10 years old and play a kangaroo in the school play. I enjoy being a kangaroo in the play because I can have fun acting. I also say, “She can’t do it alone don't think about yourself,” in the song 'Follow the Stars'.

Hi! I am Tom and I am 10 years old and I play a kangaroo. I like being a kangaroo because it means I get to do these actions that make me look like a kangaroo. I also play piano for “Follow The Stars”. My favourite thing about the production is how it helps us to become more confident because we are all in on the stage.

Hi, I’m Minnie. I’m 9 years old and I play a kangaroo in the production. I have a line in the song with Ivy. At the start of the production, I almost get hit by a bus. I have enjoyed the production sessions and love my part.

Hi! My name is Riley, I’m 10 and I play one of the kangaroos in the production. The things that I like doing in the production is hopping everywhere and doing the the very accurate actions. I also like the songs and I love my part.

Hi, I’m Scout. I am the under study of Jessie and I’m a kangaroo. I like where the play is set and I love the story.

Hi! I am Hugo and I am 10 years old. As you can see, I’m a kangaroo and I play the piano for the first song of our scene.  Unfortunately, I have no lines in the production. I am out of the scene for about half of the time, because I am playing an instrument but I have never, ever been in a production and I am thrilled to help with this.

Hi! I’m Mae, I’m 10 years old.  I am the costume designer for my class in the play. I also say, “there’s not much reception” with Annika. I like how everyone has to act shocked at my friend Ivy who plays Virlda.

BEEP!  Hello I am Zac and I am ten years old. I play the bus driver with Ned and I get to honk a horn (which isn’t really a big deal but I like it). I really enjoyed performing in the production and I hope you had a good time watching it.

Hello! I am Annika and I play a student who Sam does a speccy over. I am nine years old. I really enjoy production. I have a line in the song, and I play footy in the scene.

Hi I’m Louie, being in the production was fun. I’m ten years old, I play a student in the background. I bring up the suitcase that reveals Evan. Also I say the line, ‘This is the time I normally go to bed,’ with Monty.

Hello, my name is Luke. I am 10 years old. My part in the play is being a student in the background, and holding the big map of Australia with Aaliya, when Monty acts like he doesn’t know where Broome is.

Hi! My name is Ned, I am 9 years old in the production. I am one of the bus drivers. I get to go to the back of the stage with Zac and pretend that we are scrolling on our phones. My favourite part of production is when Freddy who plays Evan has undies on his head.

Hello, I’m Monty. I am 10 years old and I play a student in the play. I have a speaking line in the song in our scene, and I am the person that tries to find Broome on the big map of Australia. I also like the wilderness and exploring it.
