Ikara – Flinders Ranges is an astounding piece of land located in the Central Flinders Ranges of South Australia, approximately 430 kilometres north of Adelaide. Rich in natural beauty and deep cultural significance, Ikara – meaning “meeting place” in the Adnyamathanha language – is a landscape shaped by both geological wonder and ancient stories. Towering red cliffs, winding gorges, and vast open plains form a dramatic backdrop that reflects thousands of years of connection between people and Country.
The "Rainbow song" in Adnyamthanha” was gifted Terry Coulthard - language mentor
The songwriting team attended workshops with Bridget A’Beckett and brainstormed melodic and lyric ideas that Bridget then took away and transformed into songs.
