The six kids, Alex, Morgan, Jessie, Evan, Charlie and Sam have a rough night at sea and stumble off the boat, landing on the shore of K’gari. Alex has lost the egg but the kids spot a group of turtles and realise that the egg has hatched. The kids ask the turtles to help them get home but it is going to take too long. The turtles suggest asking Waa (the crows) for help. Waa call their friends Fred and Nathan for some advice on how to get the kids home. Nathan suggests that Waa take them home and says that he might see them at his gig in Naarm.
The songwriting team attended workshops with Bridget A’Beckett, and brainstormed melodic and lyric ideas that Bridget then took away and transformed into songs.
