Description
Primarily grown for processing and orange juice production
Used for juicing and processing rather than eating fresh
Are the only type of orange available in the summer
Are smaller and more juicy than navel oranges, with few seeds and a thinner skin
Generally ripen in the summer, helping to create a fresh supply of oranges year round
Has an average diameter of 2.7 to 3 inches (70–76 mm)
Brings benefits because of the vitamin C and flavonoids contained
The tallest trees were those grown on Volkamer lemon rootstock at 15 1/2 feet tall
