European Mountain Ash

Scientific Name: Sorbus aucuparia var. xanthocarpa

Usually grows to about 20ft to 40ft tall and the branches spread out 15 to 25ft

They are native to Europe, Western Asia, and Siberia

They live about 400 years

Fun Facts:

• The flower and fruit of the trees provide food for 15 different species of birds, deer, and rabbits
• It's flowers are an off white and usually 3" to 5" in diameter
• The flowers bloom in May after the leaves start to grow
• They produce berry like fruit in the late summer or early fall
