Lithium is the lightest solid metal. It’s soft, silvery-white, with a low melting point and reactive. It has the lowest density of all metals. It reacts vigorously with water. Many of its physical and chemical properties are more similar to those of the alkaline earth metals than to those of its own group.
Lithium is effective in use for mental illnesses (likes bipolar disorder, depression, and schizophrenia). Lithium is also can used for others illnesses (likes headache, alcoholism, epilepsy, diabetes, and liver disease, etc).
The most important use of lithium is in rechargeable batteries for mobile phones, laptops, digital cameras and electric vehicles. Lithium is also used in some non-rechargeable batteries for things like heart pacemakers, toys and clocks.
Lithium benefits for people healing their mental illnesses. It proviedes people who have depression a postitive attitude toward their life. Moreover, it also promotes the modern technology. Without it, we would not have the rechargeable cell phones, electric vehicles, and others technology.
In the United States, lithium is recovered from brine pools in Nevada. Today, most commercial lithium is recovered from brine sources in Chile.
