Chlorine was first produced by a sweetish scientist named Carl Wilhelm Scheele in 1774. He did this by combining pyrolusite with hydrochloric acid.

Chlorine combines with nearly every element. It therefor can not be found in its raw state in nature.
In liquid form if burns the skin
In gass form it irritates the mucus.
