Where is Fluorine found?
The main mining areas where they find the element are located in China, Mexico, and Western Europe. It is apart of the Earth's crust and is found in different places such as coal, clay and rocks. Fluorine is the 13th most common element on Earth.
History of Fluorine
When fluorine was discovered, scientists knew it contained an element similar to chlorine, but could not figure out what it was. So, scientists like Humphry Davy, tried to isolate the element from fluorine, but were unsuccessful. Davy even became sick from trying to isolate the element from the fluorine.
