** Students must complete three units in a pathway to complete a CTAE pathway and take an end of pathway assessment. Students interested in attending a University System of Georgia college/university must complete two years of the same foreign language to be admissible as a freshman.
GMAS testing will now occur in the following courses for Georgia State students:
Algebra I, Lit & Comp II, Biology, and U.S. History
Parents and Guardians: It is extremely important that students are on time and in school these days. The GMAS is a state-mandated test and cannot be exempted. It counts for 20% of a student's grade in the course for the semester. Please make every attempt to have your students(s) here and on time these days. Thank you for your support in this.
The Georgia Department of Education has updated the course names for high school English/Language Arts (ELA) courses. Below are the former and new course names:
9th Literature --> Lit & Comp I
World Literature --> Lit & Comp II
American Literature --> Lit & Comp III
English Literature --> Lit & Comp IV
