Instrumental Music

It is a joy teaching Beginner Band. I started my own band journey as a fifth grader at Osmond Community Schools in Nebraska playing the flute. I attended Doane University in 2018 and graduated in 2022 with a bachelors degree and certification to teach K-12 music. While I still play the flute, I more often play drums for a rock cover band. Besides teaching and music, I love to play chess and cook with my husband. I have 7 years of restaurant cooking experiences so far, so I love to talk about recipes. My favorite cooking job was in Crete, NE at Elle's on Main.  I hope through participating in band, your student will develop more musical skills, as well as a life-long love for learning music. As Victor Hugo said, "Music expresses that which cannot be put into words."
