Passions, Hobbies, Clubs, Sports:

I am Spencer Brandon I am in 10th grade I was born on September 12, 2007, and I joined CSMTech in 2022. Some of my hobbies include astrophotography, soccer, cross country, ski racing, track and field particularly pole vault, boy scouts, and robotics. I am in clubs like the model united nations club, and the CHS dagorhir club. The robotics team I mentor is a consistent at reaching and being a finalist at the state competition for Michigan. This year (2024) I am going to the MYLead conference at Michigan state university to learn to become a greater leader, I have done programs like this in my past, including Link crew which is a program in which 9th graders help the incoming 8th graders get acclimated the junior high, and I did a leadership institute through my church which was a program where we brought in leaders from our community to give us advice and teach us new aspects of being a leader.

Over the years:

(2022-2023) This year I am mentoring FTC robotics teams, I am playing soccer, doing track, doing marching band, Link crew, VRML(Virtual reality master league), Ski team, and Boy scouts. I have a younger brother and an older sister, I have a one year old black cat.

Highlights: This was my first year in CSMTech and I was hesitant when I first joined knowing that I have hear great thing but whether it actually is or not is a different question. My highlight from this year was the Photoshop unit. I have always wanted to learn photoshop and I am really glad I learned it though CSMTech, CSMTech gave me a planed and thoughtfully made course to follow to learn photoshop. I found that I really enjoyed this unit and would gladly do it again! Since learning photo I have used it for countless assignment and it has helped me a great deal in my personal life and in my school life.

(2023-2024)This year I am mentoring FTC robotics teams, I am playing soccer, doing track, doing cross country, Ski team, and Boy scouts, MYLead. I have a younger brother and an older sister, I have a two year old black cat and a two year old white and gray cat.

Highlights: This year through CSMTech I have to say my favorite thing or my highlight was the Gas Laws Demo lab. The reason I liked this lab so much is because we got to present it to 5th graders to get them excited about STEAM. Me and my lab partner set out to create a dazzling presentation to make the 5th graders awe when they saw it, so we went with the fire tornado. The fire tornado was a really cool demonstration to show the 5th graders and I believe that some people that day saw something they have only imagined before in their life and learned how cool STEAM really is! Sparking curiosity or interest in a young person mind is one of the coolest things a person can do and thanks to CSMTech I was able to spark that in many young minds.
