NCAA Eligibility

The NCAA Eligibility Center covers the following topics:  academic eligibility, amateurism eligibility, financial aid and recruiting rules.

Student-athletes who are planning to participate in Division I or II athletics in college MUST register with the clearinghouse to determine eligibility. This should be done in JUNIOR year. A fee is required of $100, those with financial need can request a waiver in the application process to be approved by the high school counselor.

Below is a list of CAHS’s approved courses for your reference. The counseling office has the eligibility requirements for both Division I and II.  This information can also be accessed at http://www.ncaa.org/student-athletes/play-division-i-sports. Use this information and your transcript to see where you stand.  IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU talk with the coaches and athletic directors of the universities you are targeting about your eligibility. 

The Clearinghouse requires an official high school transcript.  When registering, you must follow the on-line instructions for requesting a high school transcript.

STUDENTS MUST HAVE SAT SCORES SENT DIRECTLY FROM THE COLLEGE BOARD TO THE ELIGIBILITY CENTER USE CODE:  9999
