Summer School Opportunities

CKSD SUMMER ACADEMY 2025 INFO

• • • Registration closed June 30th. 

    • HAVE QUESTIONS OVER SUMMER: Contact your summer school teacher or email summeracademy@ckschools.org. CKSD Website: ckschools.org/summer.

    • Classes are FREE and are online. Students may take ONE COURSE to earn EITHER 0.5 INIITIAL credit OR 0.5 RECOVERY credit. Students must complete 45 hours of work to earn credit.

• IMPORTANT DATES:

  • • June 2: PE courses start

    • June 9: PE registration closes

    • Week of June 16th: Students who registered PRIOR to this date will receive an email from the Summer Academy teacher with instructions on how to begin the course.

    • June 23: All other courses can start for students who have registered prior to this date.

    • June 30: Registration for non-PE courses closes

    • August 8: All courses end and all work must be complete and turned in. Students must complete 45 hours of work to earn credit.

• WHICH SUMMER CLASSES SHOULD I TAKE ? 

  • • Check PowerSchool to check! For Credit Recovery: Check your 'Grade History' & register to repeat a semester-long class you have failed. For New/Initial Credit: In 'Grade History' check your 'Historical Grad Plan Progress' to see which semester-long classes you still need & may take. 

    • For Final 2nd Semester Grades: Reminder that we do not mail home hard copies of final grades at the end of the year/semester. Families can view or print Report Cards in PowerSchool under the 'Student Reports' icon. 

• NOTE: While Pearson Connexus online courses DO meet college entrance requirements (CADR), they DO NOT meet NCAA eligibility requirements. Students pursuing collegiate level athletics should not take Pearson Connexus online courses.
