We understand that this may be a difficult time for you, and we want to help connect you to support. There could be a number of reasons why you might choose to report anonymously. You should note, however, that if you choose to report anonymously, the college is not able to act on any information provided or respond to you directly. However, by making an anonymous report, the information provided could help others by improving our understanding of incidents that students are experiencing. Why report anonymously?
You may not be ready to report an incident formally to the college and that is ok. It is still very useful to us to understand the type of behaviours occurring and we want to make sure that students and staff have the opportunity to log incidents without their personal details being known.
Please note that reporting an incident anonymously doesn't mean that you are unable to also report in a different way, even if it is at a later date. If you would like more information about the other avenues of reporting, please visit our safeguarding information page.
What happens with the information provided in an anonymous report?
We will use this data to inform prevention work and enable us to take positive actions towards continuing to make City College Plymouth a safe place for our students, staff, and visitors.
Who sees the anonymous reports?
Designated staff within safeguarding have access to the forms students submit. We do not request any identifiable information to ensure that your report remains anonymous.
The amalgamated data is reported to the Senior Designated Safeguarding Lead once a month to help us understand any issues within our college and to plan preventative action wherever possible.
