Interested in serving on the Info Desk? 

Some things you should know first:

Time commitment: once a month or whatever suits you. 

Hours: there are two services a day - I’ll ask if you can do a specific time according to the need.  Shift times are as follows:

• 7.50am - 10.00am (8.30am Service)

• 9.55am - 11.45am (10.15am Service)

Personal Qualities we’re looking for: 

• A great big smile 

• Punctual for rostered slots

• Friendly & Outgoing

• Confidentiality (in processing tithes & offerings)

• Initiative 

• Confidence

The Information Desk plays a vital role in the life of Citipointe Church, as generally it is the first place that someone will go to find information on the Church.  It is our job to make sure they feel welcomed, informed and guided in the right direction or provided with the information they are seeking. 

People will come to the Information Desk with all sorts of enquiries so here is a broad overview of the type of things you will be required to assist with:

• Processing Tithes & Offerings via the EFTPOS Machines

• Processing FLH offerings

• At times providing Information and taking payment for Registrations for outings, conferences, event nights, youth events. 

• Directing people to the Lounge, toilets, Citipointe Kids, mother’s and parent’s room

• Taking items from church members that they would like passed on to a Staff or church Member. 

• Receiving donations of goods for various campaigns – pancake collection, hamper donations etc 

• And in a nutshell, any other question that anyone approaching an information desk would want to know.  

What if I decide I’d like to join the team? What now?

Once you’ve confirmed your availability, we’ll roster you on and show you our Service Rostering system and how to accept your rosters. You’ll be sent a reminder just before the service too!

Then you’ll be set up with someone to train you two or so times. Then you’ll either be with someone else on the desk, or if you’re happy and confident, we’re happy to let you serve alone as needed.
