Singapore is situated near the equator and therefore has a tropical climate. There are high levels of humidity all year round with average temperatures ranging from 25°C to 31°C (77°F and 88°F). The hottest months are usually between June to August and there can be heavy rainfall which is often accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in November and December.
The standard of living in Singapore is high but affordable. The standard of health care is amongst the highest in the world. As for crime, we are one of the countries with a low crime rate and it is safe to walk around on your own at any time of the day or night. Security at embassies, family clubs and international schools are in place, but expats here don’t feel threatened in any way in their day-to-day lives and find it absolutely a safe place to live, work and a rewarding experience.
