Issuance of Employment Pass and Dependent Pass with Ministry of Manpower (MOM)
When you arrive in Singapore, CIS will book your appointment with MOM asap but we need your boarding card and the 'bar code' on that card to enter into the booking system for immigration [ICA]. All family members will go to immigration in person, have your picture and fingerprints done for the Employment Pass / Dependent Pass. It then takes about 5 working days for the actual EP and DPs to arrive. A ‘Dependent’ is defined as non- Singaporean and/ or Singapore Permanent Resident family members eligible for a dependent’s pass such as a child or married spouse.
Medical Examination and Vaccination
When preparing my documents for the Employment Pass and Teacher Registration for Singapore is there a special form for my physician to complete?
Yes. There will be a form provided for you to take to your physician. CIS will also inform you of an appropriate date for your medical examination.
Is the skin test for tuberculosis sufficient?
No, a report on the findings of a chest X-Ray and the actual X-Ray film is required. The report may be included on the same document as the statement of general health or on a separate statement. Please request the small format of the actual x-ray for easier transport to CIS.
What immunisation do I require?
None is required but it is recommended that you should have a Hepatitis A & B inoculation [adults]
Diphtheria and Measles Vaccination Requirements for Foreign-Born Children Applying for Long-Term Immigration Passes in Singapore:
With effect from 1 February 2019, the Ministry of Health (MOH) of Singapore will require documentation of diphtheria and measles vaccination to be submitted by foreign-born children as a prerequisite for the application of long-term immigration passes in Singapore.
Foreign-born children aged 12 years old and below, who are applying for the Dependent's Pass (DP) or Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP) issued by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), and the Student's Pass (STP) issued by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA), are required to submit documented proof of vaccination or evidence of immunity for diphtheria and measles to the Health Promotion Board (HPB) for verification. They will have to do so before they proceed with their applications to MOM or ICA for long-term stay in Singapore. Please note, this is a very timely issue as there is a 10-20 day Government review/approval period for each child. Therefore, the child's dependent pass cannot be processed until the Singapore Government Health Promotion Board approvals the submitted medical reports submitted by the family. Existing pass holders currently living in Singapore will not be subject to the requirements when renewing their pass or applying for a new pass. https://www.nir.hpb.gov.sg/fcine/#/navpage/faq
