2019-09-26 Welcome Lunch

26 students came to the Welcome Lunch, plus two Tim & Anna coming at 1:20, plus 19 serving ones.

Among the students:

• 13 male 13 female;

• 6 in the church life - Eden, Andy, Tim, Winnie, Grace Lim and SiSi,

• 8 existing contacts, 6 of them regular with us - Mai Mai, Eli, Stella, Patricia, Tsubomi, Mary Walker, Sera, and Cesar.

• 12 new this quarter,

  • Including 4 not among the contacts input from tabling (either receiving the invitation without leaving contacts, or just saw the sign and dropped in!); two more other contacts from the tabling.

• Good atmosphere. Because of a new student's question, we first talked about the Lord Jesus being the life-giving Spirit. We then sang the song, This is the Year of Jubilee. Good further fellowship from another new student's ask, "What is Jubilee?". Then we had lunch, catering from cafeteria. People were engaging one another. Then we the ice-breaking game "Christ in Matthew - The King whom You desire" for everyone to talk with as many pepole as possible, exchanging (1) name (2) a fun fact about yourself (3) the choice. Then we tallied the scores for prize. The inside of the game sheet shows the central thought of Matthew with the items of Christ (from Life-study of Matthew, message 1). People continued to linger on afterwards.
