On this page, my goal is to show off different student athletes in the variety of sports that are offered here at Cambria Heights. I will be going around to different athletes through the school year asking them questions about the sport they play . I have created some questions to help peak the interest of the student being interviewed and even the Highlander Community in order to recruit more numbers.

For this interview, I asked Junior soccer player, Cole Weiland questions about how this past season played out.
How has this season impacted you as a player?
This season has tested me because of the multiple games throughout the weeks and the vastly more difficult schedule.
What was your favorite memory from this season?
Defiantly beating Phillipsburg because this was the first step into getting into the playoffs late in the season.
What advice would you give students that’s thinking about participating in soccer?
Be prepared to give it your all. A good attitude will get you far in the season.
What game from this season will stick with you for the rest of your life?
The Penn Cambria game @Home because it taught the team what patients really are and that not every loss is truly a loss.
What are you looking forward to for next season?
Making my final year of high school soccer memorable with my friends. Also, looking forward to going farther in the playoffs.
Why soccer?
The whole aspect of the sport is just enjoyable. The people are just so fun to hang out around and the adrenaline rush from the games is just a fulfilling emotion.
What goal do you wish to complete before you clock out your number?
I wish to score two more goals as a defender.
Varsity Boys Soccer player Cole Weiland. Grade 11
Next up, Ian Hall, a Junior who runs on the Cross Country team
How has this season impacted you as a player?
This season has taught me discipline and has humbled me and the rest of my team. This has also taught me patience and it has humbled the team.
What was your favorite memory from this season?
The heritage conference meet after Cambria Heights took second place out of ten teams.
What advice would you give students that’s thinking about participating in XC?
Just do it. There's nothing that you have to lose.
What meet from this season will stick with you for the rest of your life?
The disappointments of district 6 because the memories of defeat are harder to wash off than sweet victories.
What are you looking forward to for next season?
I'm looking forward to the District 6 meet because that's the only meet that matters. This meet is the deciding factor if CH goes to states or not.
Why XC?
I’ve worked with the coaches for pretty much my whole life and I've always had a passion for running.
What goal do you wish to complete before you clock out your jersey?
I’d like to go to States with the team and to also break 19 min for my 5k.
