Prepare backgrounds for your pages in your sketchbook
Think about how you lay work out: imagine you are working on a magazine or art book
If you have scruffy handwriting, print out your text from Word on white paper and stick that in - it will contrast and display much better against your work
Document everything you do: show that you care about the subject and that it is important to you
Make it clear when you put in critical evaluation that describes, analyses and discusses how effective the work that you have made
Structure your backwards-facing criticism: describe what you have done in terms of processes and techniques; say why you made those choices; consider and evaluate how successful this was in terms of your work:
What problems did you encounter?
Did you overcome them?
How did you do so?
Be clear about having forwards facing criticism: provide a clear heading 'Next steps', 'Development', 'Where I will go after this' etc
Make sure that you structure your forwards-facing criticism: what I will do next; why I will make that choice; how this will improve things
