M.A.R.C.K.S

We use a system called MARCKS to guide students in understanding their performance and areas for improvement.

MARCKS stands for:

• M (Maths): Ensures that students show their working and arrive at the correct answer.

• A (Application): Checks if students apply their answers to the context and stakeholders with clear, connected reasoning.

• R (Read): Emphasizes the importance of reading the question carefully to avoid misunderstandings or errors.

• C (Communication): Focuses on clear and coherent responses that follow the command word appropriately.

• K (Knowledge): Assesses if the student has demonstrated accurate and relevant knowledge.

• S (Statements): Ensures that enough statements are made to match the number of marks available.

This approach helps students identify specific areas where they can improve, making feedback more targeted and constructive. It provides a structured way for students to reflect on their work and understand precisely what they need to do to achieve better results.
