CCPS Postsecondary Readiness Vision
CCPS will INSPIRE students with ENGAGING opportunities for graduates to SUCCEED in post secondary goals.
High school students are encouraged to become Postsecondary Ready by the end of their senior year of high school. Meeting Postsecondary Readiness status indicates that students have met at least one or more benchmark(s) as it relates to academics and/or careers.
Students may achieve Postsecondary Readiness by meeting at least one of the following benchmarks:
Academic Readiness
Meeting or exceeding at least one qualifying score on the ACT Exam
English: 18
Math: 19
Reading: 20
Meeting or exceeding at least one qualifying score on the KYOTE
English: 6
Math: 22
Reading: 20
Meeting or exceeding at least one qualifying score on EdReady Diagnostic
English: 70
Math: 55
Reading: 70
Passing at least one approved dual credit course (3+ credit hours) with a grade of "C" or higher
Passing an Advanced Placement (AP) exam with a "3" or higher
Career Readiness
Passing an End-of-Program (EOP) Assessment in a Career Pathway
Passing industry certification(s) in a Career Pathway
Passing at least one approved CTE dual credit course (3+ credit hours) with a grade of "C" or higher
Participating in a Tech Ready Apprentices for Careers in Kentucky (TRACK) youth/pre-apprenticeship program
Completing a required number of hours or achieving a benchmark within an apprenticeship, cooperative education (co-op), or internship placement
