AES Engineering Scholarship

AES Engineering is pleased to be able to continue offering scholarships to motivated students to help in the furthering of their education.
Our belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by an evaluation of the essays that are submitted.
Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility.
You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible.
Students must submit an essay of between 500 and 1000 words in answer to the following question:
When you look back on your life in 30 years, what would it take for you to consider your life successful? What relationships or accomplishments will be important on this journey?
Amount of award: $500.00

Western Dairy Showcase Scholarship
Application Deadline October 8th, 2025
In Honor of the dairy industry, we wish to continue to advocate for the next generation of dairy enthusiasts.
We want to preserve the legacy they created and help ensure the continued success of our dairy industry.
Scholarship Applicant Requirements:
1. Applicants must be a graduating senior (Class of 2026) or a recent graduate under the age of 21 attending college or a vocational school in the fall of 2026.
2. Must be a full-time student with 12 or more credits.
3. You may only receive the scholarship once
*Applicants will be required to go through an interview. Interviews will be scheduled on Friday, and we will let you know the time frame. Applicants will be notified of the scheduled interview date and time. Applicants will be scored on their knowledge of the industry, sportsmanship, and overall enthusiasm for the dairy industry. *
Applications for the 2025 Western Dairy Showcase scholarship must be turned in to the Dairy Clerk by no later than 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. You can email the completed application to our website at dairyshowcase@gmail.com.
CJ Pony Parts Scholarship
Application Deadline: October 15th
Any U.S. resident who will be enrolling in post-secondary education in the next semester is eligible for this scholarship.
This is open to all fields of study and is not exclusive to automotive or related degrees.
Create a short video (under 3 minutes long) on one of these topics. Videos over 3 minutes or on multiple topics will be disqualified:
What is one memory you have of a Mustang that left an impression?
How do Mustangs relate to your current or intended field of study? (Get creative!)
If you could redesign one Mustang generation, what would you change and why?
Mustangs have made a lot of progress over the years. What is one automotive advancement you're looking forward to and why?
Lee Iacocca, Gale Halderman, and many others contributed to the birth of the Mustang, creating a lasting legacy. What do you hope your legacy will be?
You can be inspirational, funny, serious, educational, or even musical!
Winners will be selected based on creativity and content rather than video editing skill or how many views the video gets. Submitted videos must be your own work.

National Rice Month Scholarship Contest
Application Deadline: October 15th
September is National Rice Month, a time to celebrate the harvest of the small but mighty grain that has captivated Americans’ hearts and stomachs for more than 300 years. Nearly 85 percent of the rice consumed in the United States is grown right here on family farms across six states: Arkansas, California, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and Texas.
That’s a fun fact that not many people are aware of — and that’s where you come in! The National Rice Month Scholarship Video Contest is an opportunity for graduating high school students living in one of those six rice-growing states to tell a story about U.S. rice.
Create a video or animation that in three minutes or less, shines a light on this versatile, tasty, home-grown grain. Educate, entertain, and tell us why you think rice is special – to you, to your state, or to the world!
How to Enter?
Create an original, short (3 minutes or less) video about U.S. rice, National Rice Month, and the importance of rice to you, your state, or the world in general.
Upload your video to YouTube or Vimeo. Please note, TikTok videos may only be uploaded via Vimeo.
Complete the entry form and submit your video. Entries must be received by October 15, 2025.
After you’ve uploaded your video, share it on your social media. Encourage your friends, family, and teachers to watch and vote for your video. (You can also check out your competition.)
Eligibility Requirements
Graduating high school students (2025-26 school year) from the six primary rice-growing states — Arkansas, California, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and Texas — who have not previously won a National Rice Month Scholarship are eligible to apply with the following exclusions: children of board members of the USA Rice Federation, USA Rice Council, USA Rice Farmers, USA Rice Millers’ Association, and USA Rice Merchants’ Association; and/or children of USA Rice Federation committee members, USA Rice Federation employees, or American Commodity Company (ACC) employees.
Scholarship Prizes
Three scholarship prizes, sponsored by the American Commodity Company (ACC), totaling $10,000 will be awarded:
The grand-prize winner will receive a $5,000 scholarship, and an invitation (along with a chaperone) to the USA Rice Outlook Conference, this year in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The second-place winner will receive a $3,000 scholarship.
The third-place winner will receive a $2,000 scholarship.
Video Requirements and Important Dates
Create an original video about U.S.-grown rice that’s 3 minutes or less in length.
Entries must be received by October 15, 2025. Winners will be notified by November 7, 2025.
Chick - Fil - A Community Scholars
Application Deadline: October 28th at or before 3:00pm
Chick-fil-A has established a scholarship program to assist students who plan to continue their education in college, vocational, or graduate school programs.
The 2026 program will be accepting applications from August 19, 2025 through October 28, 2025 3:00 p.m. Central Time. Thanks for your interest in the program!
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation's largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Applicants to the Chick-fil-A Community Scholars Program must:
Be 18 years of age by July 15, 2026.
Currently reside* in the United States (U.S.), Puerto Rico, or Canada at time of application and award
Be a current
High school senior/student in their final year of upper or higher secondary school
College/university Undergraduate
Graduate student
ANDPlanning to enroll in full-time undergraduate or graduate study for the 2026-2027 academic year at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university, or vocational-technical school or CEGEP institution
Be involved in community service, extracurricular activities and/or a leadership role in the twelve (12) months prior to application deadline (for example, volunteering for non-profits, helping others less fortunate, tutoring/mentoring, etc.)
Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent)
Be willing to participate in Chick-fil-A’s Scholars Program (a one-year experience of mentoring, activities, and professional development), if selected.
Chick-fil-A employees and dependents/spouses of employees or Operators are not eligible to apply.
*Applicants are NOT required to be citizens or permanent residents of either country. Individuals granted deferred action status under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program (DACA) and international students attending college in the U.S., Puerto Rico, or Canada are eligible to apply.
If selected as a Chick-fil-A Community Scholar, the student will be granted up to a $25,000 award. Up to thirteen (13) awards will be granted. Recipients will also have the opportunity to participate in a one-year leadership development program facilitated by Chick-fil-A, Inc., which includes mentoring and professional development opportunities.
Awards are for undergraduate or graduate study at any accredited college or university, or vocational-technical school.
Awards are one-time only; however recipients may request to disburse their award over a period of one (1) to six (6) years. Any unused funds remaining after six (6) years after the recipient is awarded will be forfeited. Past recipients may not reapply.
The award payments will be issued in U.S. dollars (USD). Awards may be used for all education-related expenses. The selected recipients will also have the opportunity to participate in a one-year leadership development program facilitated by Chick-fil-A, Inc., which includes mentoring and professional development opportunities.
As part of your application, you must upload the following documents:
Current complete transcripts of grades. Unofficial or online transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course, and term in which each course was taken.
Copy of the first two pages of your parents' (or your own if not claimed as a dependent) IRS 1040 income tax form or T-1 Canadian income tax return.
At least one online recommendation form must be submitted on your behalf no later than November 11, 2025 at 3:00 pm central time. You are able to list up to 3 recommenders.
Your application is not complete unless all required documents are submitted electronically.
Your application must be submitted on or before 3:00 p.m. Central Time on October 28, 2025.
Selection of Recipients
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:
Academics
Activities, awards, and honors
Community service/volunteering
Online Recommendation
Financial need
Financial need will be considered. Finalists must demonstrate need. Academic evaluation will include a review of the grade/mark average based on the grading system used in the applicant’s country and a review of the results of academic examinations.
Scholarship America will select up to 50 finalists and a selection committee will select the final recipients to receive the Chick-fil-A Community Scholars award. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
The $1,000 SuperCollege Scholarship
Application Deadline: October 31st
The SuperCollege Scholarship is our way to give back to help you make college affordable. It's open to all students -- high school, college, grad or adult -- who are currently in college or plan to start. You can use the scholarship to pay for tuition, books, computers, room and board or any education-related expense. To apply, complete the online application form. All winners will be selected based on completeness of application. Incomplete entries are automatically disqualified.
Eligibility:
Any high school, college or grad student.
Any adult planning to go back to school.
One application per student per entry period.
Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
Deadline: October 31, 2025.
Veterans of Foreign Wars - Voice of Democracy Scholarship Program
Application Deadline: October 31st
Since 1947, the Voice of Democracy has been the Veterans of Foreign Wars’ (VFW’s) premier scholarship program. Each year, nearly 27,000 high school students compete for more than $2 million in scholarships and incentives. Students compete by writing and recording an audio essay on an annual patriotic theme.
This year’s theme is, “How Are You Showing Patriotism And Support For Our Country?”
Who can enter?
The Voice of Democracy is open to students in grades 9-12 by the Oct. 31st deadline who are enrolled in a public, private or parochial high school or home study program in the United States.
Where Do I Submit My Entry?
All entries begin at the VFW Post level. Individual students may submit their entry directly to the Post or turn in completed scholarship applications and required materials to the Chochilla Union High School school office to Mrs. Cabello, Guidance Counselor.
