CSEA Dependent Scholarship

CSEA offers dozens of Dependent Scholarships to dependents of members planning to further their education.
This is an on-line application that must be completed in one sitting as there is no option to save and come back to it later. You must gather all your information in advance, including documents you will be required to upload. Use this pre-application worksheet to prepare. After you have gathered all the information and required additional documents, we recommend setting aside one hour to complete the application.
Note: The most common mistakes made that causes an automatic disqualification from consideration for a scholarship are submitting an official but unsigned transcript or submitting an unofficial transcript. Transcripts must be both official and signed by the school registrar to be considered.
Eligibility Requirements
There are three categories of dependent scholarships: 1) First Year, 2) Community College, and 3) University, College, University, Trade, or Vocational School. Graduating high school seniors and those already attending a college, university, or trade or vocational school are eligible to apply. Applications are now available and are due February 1.
Applicants must be an IRS dependent of a CSEA member in good standing.
Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0, including all schoolwork to date taken at their current educational institution level at the time of application.
For the First Year Scholarship category, applicants are limited to graduating high school seniors or equivalent (i.e., private school, privately tutored, or accredited correspondence school), and must be planning to enter an accredited college (including community colleges and accredited trade schools) as a full-time student by the Fall term following receipt of the scholarship.
For the Community College or the University, College, Trade, or Vocational school categories, applicants must be enrolled on a full-time basis at the time that application for scholarship is made and plan to continue for the Fall term (or equivalent) immediately following receipt of the scholarship.

Name of college you think or know you will be attending in the Fall of 2026. It is okay if this is a best guess.
Your intended major. It is okay if this is unknown. You can enter unknown.
The job title/occupation of the parent or guardian who is the CSEA member.

Your parent(s) or guardian(s) adjusted gross income as shown on their most recent federal tax return. This is line number 11 on IRS form 1040.
You will be asked the following short essay questions on the application:
Your plans and objectives for college and beyond, including career goals.
Your High School and/or college activities including any honors or awards, clubs, offices held in student government, other school activities, as well as non-school related activities
Your work experience and community and volunteer services.
You can note any special circumstances or hardships if applicable.
List any additional family members who are also attending higher education.
Have the following documents ready to upload:

Applications that do not include these required additional items will be disqualified from consideration.
Hilmar Cheese Company Scholarship

Hilmar Cheese Company is pleased to offer educational scholarships in four divisions:
Child of a Dairy Producer who ships milk to Hilmar Cheese Company (any major). For the producer’s child(ren) to be eligible, the producer must have shipped to Hilmar Cheese Company for a minimum of one year from the scholarship application deadline of February 1.
Child of a Hilmar Cheese Company Employee (any major)
For the employee’s child(ren) to be eligible, the employee must be employed by Hilmar Cheese Company for a minimum of one year from the scholarship application deadline of February 1.
Visitor Center employee who has worked for Hilmar Cheese for a minimum of 6 months before February 1.
Undergraduate Agriculture Major with permanent residence in one of the following counties: Merced, CA; Stanislaus, CA; Hartley, TX, or Dallam, TX.
Qualifications:
Graduating high school seniors or currently enrolled full-time in undergraduate studies at an accredited 2-year or 4-year college or university, or enrolled in a trade or technical school.
Must have a high school GPA or college GPA of a minimum of 2.0.
Post-graduate students are not eligible.
In order to help as many students as possible, the scholarship is granted once per individual. Applicants may reapply for a scholarship if they have not received one in the past.
Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee and approved by Hilmar Cheese Company’s leadership team and Board of Directors.
Scholarships will be distributed directly to the recipient’s institution to full-time students.

ONE LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION: From an academic, professional or personal reference. The letter may be addressed “To Whom it May Concern” or something similar. Please upload the letter with the application.
TRANSCRIPTS: High school transcripts if a graduating senior; college/trade school transcripts if current college/trade school student. Please upload your transcripts with your application. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable.

California Table Grape - Agriculture Scholarship

California table grape growers seek agricultural scholarship applicants interested in building a career in the California table grape industry and in investing their undergraduate years of study in academic areas of importance to its future.
The Agricultural scholarship is a four-year $25,000 university scholarship, available to students residing in the Coachella or San Joaquin valleys who are interested in the California table grape industry. Scholarships are available to seniors graduating in 2026 or to high school graduates, including family members of table grape growers.
Three scholarships are available.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
High school graduate or high school senior graduating in 2026.
Resident of California table grape growing regions (Coachella or San Joaquin valleys).
Planning to pursue a four-year undergraduate degree in a field of study pertinent to table grapes.
Enrolled full time in a four-year California university in the fall of 2026.

California Table Grape - Field Worker Scholarship

California table grape growers are offering scholarships to field workers and their children to attend four-year universities or colleges in California.
There are two categories of scholarships:
The first, called the Bridge Scholarship, is a $14,500 scholarship for students who will attend two years at a community college and transfer to a four-year university.
The second is a $25,000 scholarship for students who will attend a four-year university.
Three scholarships of each category are available

You, a parent, or legal guardian must have been employed as a field worker in a California table grape vineyard during the 2025 harvest season or plan to be so employed during the 2026 season.

Camarena Health Scholarship
Application Deadline: February 2nd
To Qualify for a Camarena Health Scholarship you must meet the following requirements:
Career focus must be in the Healthcare Field.
Must be a Madera County resident or a non-resident who is currently enrolled in a Madera County school or works in Madera County
Have a minimum accumulated GPA of 2.5 for persons currently enrolled in school or college; if not currently enrolled in school or college, then from the last school or college you attended.

California Teachers Association Scholarship
Application Deadline: February 6th
These educational scholarships support CTA members, dependent children of active members and CTA Aspiring Educators (CTA-AE) members – formerly known as Student CTA – throughout the academic year with funds to be used for education-related purposes.
A complete application consists of the online application, two recommendation forms and unofficial transcripts.

CIF Central Section Scholarship

Each year, the Central Section honors many deserving senior student-athletes with scholarships for their outstanding achievements both in the classroom, the community and in their athletic endeavors. We will award two graduating seniors from each league (one male and one female) with a scholarship and award dinner in the spring.
The Section is seeking candidates whose academic and athletic careers have been truly exemplary, students whose personal high standards and accomplishments are a positive model for others; students who possess high levels of integrity and honesty, and who have benefited from their participation in high school interscholastic programs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A senior on track to graduate in 2026.
A 3.5 cumulative grade point average (weighted)
Participation in at least one varsity sport
A record of good citizenship

Christermon Foundation - Beverage Industry Scholarship
Application Deadline: February 15th
Application and all supporting documents for this scholarship are TRANSMITTED ELECTRONICALLY AND MUST BE RECEIVED BY FEBRUARY 15, 2026 TO BE CONSIDERED. Incomplete applications will be eliminated after 2/15/2026.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR GRADUATING CALIFORNIA HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS:
Your parent, grandparent, legal guardian is employed with a California Company holding a valid California liquor/wine/beer license as detailed above. Additional prerequisites and employment options are detailed on the application site.
Employment by student or other than above, does not qualify. AND, if you cannot demonstrate employment affiliation with a licensed California Beverage Alcohol company with a licensed California Beverage Alcohol company for your parent/grandparent or confirmed guardian, please do not not apply for this award. License requirements will be checked with the ABC.
You will graduate from a California High School in 2026 and attend a four-year university beginning Fall, 2026. a) Ineligible are students attending high school outside California, b) Those planning to attend a community college, and c) Students already enrolled at a four-year university.
** Candidates planning to first attend a community college can re-apply through the community college application upon transfer to a four-year school.
You were involved in high school extra-curricular school activities during both Junior and Senior year.
You are able to demonstrate outstanding community service as evidenced by your student-written essay, AND confirmed within your required worksheet: The essay Prompt will be given when you complete the HS application.
The essay will count for 60% of the application process. Balance is based on school activities, community involvement and attention to essay formatting and details.
Scholarship recipients will be notified early to mid May. All recipients will be honored at the July award dinner at the Irvine Marriott Hotel. Recipient attendance at the awards ceremony is prerequisite to receiving the scholarship, there are NO special circumstances that apply.
This is a ONE-YEAR, non-recurring scholarship.
You follow important directions, details, deadlines and specific requirements as listed on the application. Student portals must contain all documents on or before February 15, 2026. Applications submitted after 2/15/26 will not be considered. High School academic records can be transmitted into portals by 3/1 if necessary.
FINAL IMPORTANT NOTE: IF you are awarded one of the 2026 scholarships for high school students, but your plans change and you will first attend a two-year school before transferring to a four-year university - Your original HS scholarship award IS not held in your name pending your transfer - (upon your notification, the original award will be given to the next in line student.) Upon your acceptance at a four-year university, you must re-apply as a community college transfer applicant, submitting the required documents into a new portal.
Farm Kids for College Scholarship
Application Deadline: February 17th
High school seniors planning to earn an agricultural degree from an accredited college or university are eligible, and must submit materials by Feb. 17, 2026. Based upon competitive selection, National Farmers will announce three national scholarship winners April 14, 2026. Three winners will receive either $2500, $1500, or $1,000 toward their freshman year in college.
Eligibility:
Be a high school senior in the U.S.
Major in an agricultural field at an accredited college or university

IFT Feeding Tomorrow Scholarship

The Feeding Tomorrow Fund awards annual scholarships to students pursuing an undergraduate degree in a variety of disciplines within the science of food. Please see the list of available scholarships below and remember to verify your eligibility and review the application requirements.
General Eligibility:
Applicant must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)
Applicant must plan to enroll as a full-time freshman student pursuing an undergraduate degree in science of food at a U.S. or international university for the 2025-2026 academic year
First-Year Scholarships open January 2025, and will close on February 2025.
Feeding Tomorrow Fund Freshman Scholarships, Multiple Awards, $1,500 each.
Students must be enrolled in an IFT-approved undergraduate program to be eligible for an undergraduate Feeding Tomorrow scholarship.
Feeding Tomorrow Fund Gateway Scholarship Program, Multiple Awards, $1,500 each.
Students must not be enrolled in an IFT-approved undergraduate program to be eligible for an undergraduate Feeding Tomorrow scholarship. Any program not listed on the IFT-approved program list will be considered acceptable. All other general eligibility criteria will apply.
AMS Scholarship for Underserved Communities

The AMS Scholarship for Underserved Communities will award funding to students who have been traditionally underrepresented in the sciences, especially Hispanic, Native American, and Black/African American students. Funding for the scholarships is provided through donations made to the AMS Annual Giving Program. The American Meteorological Society (AMS) is committed to, and benefits from the full and equitable participation of a diverse community. AMS is committed to advancing core values of diversity, inclusion, and equity across all aspects of the atmospheric, oceanic, and hydrologic sciences.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens or hold permanent resident status.
Students who will be entering their freshman year of college in the fall of 2025 are eligible to apply.
Students must plan to pursue careers in the atmospheric or related oceanic and hydrologic sciences. Marine Biology is not eligible.
Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Students eligible to apply for the AAMS Scholarship for Underserved Communities may also apply to the AMS Freshman Scholarship Program but can only accept one scholarship if selected for both.
The $6,000 two-year scholarship is for $3000 per year during freshman and sophomore years (second-year funding depends on successful completion of the first academic year).

Coast Guard Exchange (CGX) Scholarship Program

Recognizing the value of education and the benefits it brings to the Coast Guard Family, the Coast Guard Exchange (CGX) Scholarship Program was established to provide additional financial resources to dependent children of Coast Guard personnel embarking on undergraduate college/university studies. Annually a $2,000 scholarship is awarded to the outstanding applicants on a one-time basis.
Deadline:
Applications and all supporting documents must be submitted to the CGX Scholarship Committee no later than 28 February (current year), the application deadline.
No extensions will be granted.
Eligibility:
The Program provides scholarship to students who are dependents of Coast Guard active duty, reserve, and military retired members, current civilian NAF and APF employees, and current Coast Guard Auxiliarists that meet the following eligibility requirements:
The applicant must be in the last year of high school or homeschooling and scheduled to graduate and attend college full-time during the subsequent year.
Those who have already graduated are not eligible to apply.
Students must plan to attend an accredited college or university for undergraduate studies. Scholarships will not be awarded for participation in nonacademic and/or certified programs. Students accepting appointments to USAFA, USNA, USMA, USCGA, or USMMA are not eligible.
Lamda Sigma Gamma Sorority, Inc. Beauty Through Diversity Scholarship

The Beauty Through Diversity Scholarship (BTDS) is granted to 3 dedicated students planning to attend a four-year University, Community College, or Junior College anywhere in the United States. Lambda Sigma Gamma strives to support students' pursuit of a greater education.
Three recipients will be chosen from the three California regions (Northern, Central, and Southern) as well as Arizona.

Rezvan Foundation Scholarship

The Rezvan Foundation provides ongoing mentorship and scholarship funding for full tuition up to $100,000 over the course of four years for each Awardee.* It is our hope that Rezvan scholars will then ‘pay it forward’ and keep the generous spirit of Dr. Ahmad Rezvan and his family alive for generations to come.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
be a minor now or formerly in foster care; a minor who has been orphaned; or a minor who has been adopted after time spent in foster care.
be a U.S. resident.
be currently enrolled in an accredited high school.
have a GPA of 3.5 or higher**.

This scholarship of $500 or up to $1000.00 goes to any boy or girl who shows an aptitude of willingness to make a success of college.
The scholarship may be used at any accredited college or vocational school.
The first payment will be forwarded to the winner upon written proof that he/she is enrolled in college.
The remaining is required to show written proof of enrollment in an accredited college and that he/she has successfully completed a minimum of 12 units.
