Ag Adventure Day
This is part of our annual community outreach where we begin to introduce the younger kids in our areas about the importance of agriculture and how it impacts our community.
Due to covid, we could not hold this event for 2 years. Although in 2022 we started it back up with our 4th annual event. We loved getting to interact with the kids and teach them about basic agriculture in our community. We had 6 stations for the kids to go through which consisted of:
A dairy station where they got to make ice cream
A pollination station where they learned about how plants grew and got to "pollinate" their own flowers
A branding station where they learned how farmers know what animals are theirs and how they move them as they got an informational tour of a livestock trailer
An architecture station where they learned how things were built and got to "weld" crackers together with cheese
A petting zoo station where they learned how to handle animals
A tree and nut station where they learned how farmers grow and harvest nuts in an orchard
