Taught by Ms Perez, this class is for the chapter officer team and other students that would like to help plan and organize FFA events. The ag comm members must fill out an application and be accepted to get into the class, but it's worth it!
Taught by Ms Perez and Mrs Lewis. Students will learn basic biology along with learning about the agriculture industry and how we can be sustainable in it. They will also go over an FFA unit.
Taught by Mrs Lewis. Similar to a basic chemistry class, but students will learn more about the agriculture industry. They will also complete an Agriscience project for their SAE.
Taught by Mrs Lewis, this class works as a third year of science. Here, students will learn about how agriculture industries are managed. Students may also complete an Agriscience project for their SAE.
Taught by Ms Perez, in this class students will learn the basics of animal anatomy and physiology and how livestock is used in the industry today.
Taught by Lewis. Students will learn more about the organs and organ systems of animals, specifically small animals. This class will teach students how to care for the typical small animals that may be seen in a vet office.
Taught by Ms Barney. This class teaches students the basics of plant anatomy and identification, along with how to make floral arrangements.
Also taught by Ms Barney. Here students will get to work on more advanced arrangements and even go on field trips.
Taught by both Mr Evans and Ms Lord. In this class, students will learn the different types of welds and materials that can be used and will take a safety test to start welding, along with a short unit on FFA.
Taught by Mr Evans. Students must retake and pass the safety test from the Intro class in order to go out to the shop. They may start doing projects that will show off and develop the skills they gained in the Intro class.
Taught by Ms Barney and Ms Lord, this class teaches students the basics of construction. This includes learning how to cut, sand, and measure wood to create projects and must take a safety test before entering the shop.
Ms Lord teaches this class. Students are able to continue improving their skills they gained from the intro class. They will be able to work on larger, more complex projects.
