Next week is the annual Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) conference in San Antonio. Mr. Wheelock will be out of town from Wednesday, Feb. 12th through the end of the week. Due to this, Mr. Wheelock will be unavailable for Parent/Teacher Conferences on the district planned dates of Feb. 13th & 14th.

If you would like to speak with Mr. Wheelock regarding your child's progress in choir, please feel free to email so we can set up an alternative time for a phone or in person conference.

Thank you to all students who participated in the All-Region Choir auditions last Saturday. We would like to offer a special congratulations to the following students who placed in the 2025 All-Region Choir:

We are very proud of the hard work that all of our students put forward in learning the audition music and participating the in all region choir audition process.

The 2025 All-Region Choir will perform it's concert on Saturday, Feb. 8th at the Arlington ISD Performing Arts Center. Students who made the All-Region Choir will receive information this week with details about the Clinic/Concert on Feb. 8th.

Attention all female choir students,

All black choir dresses should have been returned to Mr. Wheelock prior to Winter Break. If you have not yet returned your choir dress, please do so ASAP.

They do not need to be washed or cleaned by the students (Mr. Wheelock will take care of that). Dresses will be reassigned in the spring prior to UIL.

All Choir Students are required to pay a supply fee of $20 as part of their membership of the BCMS Choir Program. This modest fee helps to offset the cost incurred by the choir program for supplies and services for each student. This fee also covers the cost of the choir t-shirt.

This fee is tracked in your student's CutTime account, and can be paid in Cash or online at MyPaymentsPlus. (Please note that MyPaymentsPlus payments may not be available until the spring semester.)

Please mark your calendars! On Tuesday, February 25th, we will be hosting our Pre-UIL Choir Concert at the Cedar Hill ISD Performing Arts Center at Cedar Hill High School. This concert will serve as a final preparation for students to receive valuable feedback before we go to our UIL Contest in March.

The concert will take place at 6:30 PM, with a student call time of 6 PM. More information will be sent home in the weeks leading up to the concert.

There IS another MakeMusic Cloud Assignment for choir students this week. Students can access their MakeMusic Cloud assignments via their Choir Schoology page. These assignments need to be completed prior to the end of each week.

*Remember that MakeMusic Cloud assignments are graded on effort/completion, not graded the systems scored.
