Begin your journey and acquire skills in reading, listening, writing, and speaking in Spanish. Gain cultural understanding with an emphasis on Hispanics in the United States, Mexico, Spain, and other Spanish-speaking countries in Latin America. Participate using music and movement and language based activities to acquire a new language. The course is conducted in Spanish and you are encouraged to use the language each day.

Continue the foundation of skills from Spanish 1 & 2 with varied activities, stories, world events, music, and more detailed language experiences. Increase your language skills with an emphasis on listening, speaking, and writing. Interpersonal speaking is an area of focus, and students interact face to face with other students on a daily basis. Gain skills necessary to express opinions in Spanish, both in writing and speaking. Examine and discuss current events, global issues, and cultural practices in the Spanish-speaking world. In Spanish 4, interpersonal communication is a main focus. Spanish 4 is primarily conducted in Spanish, and students are expected to speak in Spanish. Continue developing the skills necessary to become a global citizen in any career in your future.
Refine previously learned language with an emphasis on speaking and writing. Cultural studies are incorporated throughout both quarters, based on the interests and desires of each year’s students.
